The W&UM is set in the Marquette Range of Michigan’s Upper Peninsula in the fall of 1982. The railroad is freelanced based on the Duluth, South Shore & Atlantic as if it hadn’t been sold to the Canadian Pacific during the depression.
The railroad has a good overhead traffic base but ore operations are featured with several mines and a 9-foot ore dock. Ore is also interchanged with the Chicago & Northwestern and Lake Superior & Ishpeming.
Railroad is single level, has two yards and enough traffic to keep a crew busy for a four hour session.
