The New York, Ontario & Western Railway Auburn Division is a proto-freelance railroad based on the fictional completion of an actual branch of the predecessor New York & Oswego Midland that was never operated when the O&W took over in 1882. In my version , the branch was completed to Niagara Falls and became the mainline for bridge route traffic to New York City and New England.
