During our most recent Thursday night Zoom, there were a lot of great suggestions and I just couldn’t wait any longer to implement some of them. Of course, as you can see, I also started adding updates to the web site, so I can keep everyone informed.

So what’s new today?

• Operating Sessions
  • The exchange slot option will not display if there are members waiting in the wait list.
  • The editor now requires that a user selects a railroad, enters a session date and start time, and selects a featured image. This will keep our site looking good at all times.
• Railroad Photo Galleries
  • The editor now requires that a user select a railroad and featured image for the gallery as well as adding at least one photo, so we won’t see blank images on the site.
  • Owners and operators can now create galleries for other any railroad, but it will be saved as pending. The owner of the railroad will need to review and publish the gallery before it is added to the site.
  • Fixed the captions to use a larger text box and hopefully fixed permissions to those publishing galleries can set the captions.
  • Updated the gallery list in the admin so that a railroad owner all photo galleries connected to their railroad under the “Mine” heading.

Future Updates

There are still quite a few updates I am planning, but I think I will let this all ride out for a while. If you have any questions, comments, suggestions or complaints, most of those can go sent to me on the Contact Webmaster page. Just know that complaints will likely be ignored.
