Dennis was explaining his operation session to the group, Mike was being Mike.
Dennis was teaching his operators on how the manifests look.
Iowa Dave wanted to do the trim job today.
The ops session was just underway with the crews getting to know their manifests.
As long as George has a clip board he is all smiles.
Al, back to the camera, George, Tom, Mike, Alan (hidden) Dennis and Dave.
Al was busy this afternoon running the car shops job.
George still had his clipboard so he was happy. If you have a clipboard, you have a train to run.
Dennis, George, Alan, Mike, Iowa Dave and Paul were all in this area at the same time. Dennis has a nice wide area here so the operators can do their work without too much of a problem.
Lunch break at the PW.
I could say that Rick got the last piece of pizza with this photo so he was very happy. I could also say he was showing us a side of him that he doesn't show very often. I could say Rick was explaining to us how he got started using "N" scale. And I could also say, George was wondering what was on his pizza and Rick said it was "SUSHI!!!" You decide.
Tom's job today was the class job. He must read the manifests as well as read the little numbers on the sides of the cars. All day, class one car after the other. He is the busiest guy on the layout today.
After Rick calmed down from lunch, he got to work the South Flats job.
Tom had a mini break in his operations today. George has another clipboard.
The brewery has some nice looking silo's for storage of whatever. The need to create an empty silo is a job that was greeted with some glee by a couple of people.
It looks like Shane was doing a little dance here. Maybe not. Shane was running computer for the manifests today. Trempealeau Dave ran a train in the latter part of the session and Tom was still classing one car after the other.
Shane was in charge of car movements today. RailOp is the system that Dennis is using for this purpose. Some of the jobs RailOp spits out can get quite lengthy.
Rick was using the finger hook in this picture. He started the South Flats job before he had to leave for the evening.
George and Dennis sharing thoughts about the session.
Rick had to leave and his the paperwork was left so another person could finish the South Flats job.
Here is the Bartlett interchange at the car shops area.
Another view of Bartlett. The IC as well as the PW drop off cars that need to be repaired here.
