Inside joke explains this photo. However just a few know what that really means.
Jule tried her hand being the yardmaster at Troy today and did a nice job.
Jeff ran the mill job today for the first time. It looks like straight forward type of job, but he found out that there is a need to receive the cars from Troy in the proper order, and place them on the correct end of his power, which makes his job much easier.
Neil had some power issues back at Sandpoint and had to run with one unit. This caused some problems for him on the grade into Yardley and he needed help from the crew in Hauser to get up the hill.
Doc took the Hauser yardmaster job today and Dave was the yard trim crew. This job is slowly getting buiser and buiser at every session.
Al tried his hand at dispatching today. I use a modern style of dispatchers screen and although it is easier than an older style CTC machine, there still is a learing curve, as Al found out. The trains kept moving and that is what counts.
Mike got to run the UP turn this session. This is a nice job and I made it a bit easier when working the industrial area by allowing more than one move from the interchange into the district. But traffic screws up movement between the two and the UP is lowest on the priority list here. Good forward thinking is a must on this job.
Neil is happy with that thing he is holding in his hand, Jule is running trains in the second half of the session, Randy is now the yard trim crew. Looks like the grain local is arriving in Hauser and will be picking up some grain cars. The "Z" train is fuiling up and I need to build a shelf for the "non-railroad" items that are laying on the layout.
Eugene is the Troy yardmaster now, Lynn has a local that is working the interchange and Mike is the Mill crew. Looks like Mike has his cars ready for the move across the BNSF main.
Shane is the traffic manager here till the settings are set in stone. His job is constant with no time to rest or sit. Yes I heard you about better flooring in Spokane. You will have a softer floor next session, and someday you might be able to run a train here again.
Mike is doing another splended job in helping me with my buildings. We might differ at times as to what I would like to see or how the buidings should look, but his time and creativity are greatly appreciated for sure. Everywhere you look on this layout you will see something Mike has created in one fasion or another. It is great that we can share our talents with this group for all to enjoy. Gotta love this hobby.
