When: Saturday, March 3rd, 2018 from 3:00 pm to 8:30 pm

March could see anything as far as snow and such. I’ll post a note about parking closer to the date as well as what you all can expect for the meal.

About Dave Waraxa

Freelancing the BNSF out west in the Kootenai River sub. First train, a Lionell, when I was too young to remember. I remember the orange handle made the whistle blow. Got my first H.O. train set when I turned 8. I remember riding to North Main Hobbies in Racine that day, 57 years ago. If I can remember all that how come I cannot remember what did I did yesterday?

I’ve been asked by a friend of mine to help the family of a model railroader with the disposition of his equipment and memorabilia. He was from the Melvina area, and apparently collected Milwaukee Road items. He passed away several years ago. I’d like to know if any of your members would be willing to help sell or otherwise help with the disposition of the collection. At the very least it would be nice to have a name and some contact information that the family could contact in the La Crosse area. I am the President of the West Wisconsin Model Railroad Club in Eau Claire and I’m 2 hours away from the location of the collection. I have never seen this collection or met the family but have agreed to help them with some recommendations, but it would advantageous to have a contact near by as well. I would appreciate some contact information from any of your members that would like to be of some assistance to the family.
