BN Marias Pass

Alan Schroeder   February 12th, 2017   No Comments on BN Marias Pass
When: Saturday, May 13th, 2017 from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm

Temperatures in the Cascades are warning up nicely with daytime temps teaching into the50’s. The snow on the pass is mostly melted and the south fork of the Flathead River is swollen with aqua blue snow melt.  Trains on the High Line sub are steadily keeping pace with the continued influx of imports and grain headed for export ports.  Burlington Northern has been busy rebuilding several geeps and those units are making their way onto the priority trains.  Their unique combination of external parts has everyone talking,  The white face is a nice change from the traditional green and white stripes.

The meal will be a chicken sandwich, salad and the beer of the session TBD.

About Alan Schroeder

At the age of 8 I was given my first train....a 4x8 layout built by my brother in law. I must have put a million miles on the ICG loco that came with it. Burlington Northern is now my railroad of choice.....I've been modeling the BN for over 25 years, although my early days of serious modeling was of the Milwaukee Road.
