Dennis is using RailOp at this time. It has been heavily tweaked and “tricked” into doing what it is doing now. Dennis and Dave Waraxa put a lot of work into it, and it seems to work out very well for the Peoria Western.

Yes, the original Montana Northland was dismantled, but a new and improved layout is nearly ready to start operating. Neil and many RiverRail members have been working hard to get the new Montana Northland up and running. I cannot say with any certainty when it will be operational, but last I saw it was darned close. I will contact Neil and find out more.

There will be large steam in Northern Minnesota for this! I plan to bring at least one of my Norfolk & Western Y3′s – just so I can get a picture of it on that awesome curved trestle.

Hello. I am looking for an operating layout that I could just observe (quietly and out of the way), just so I can see what model railroad operation is all about. Would you have any suggestions as to how I might do that? I live east of La Crosse and south of Sparta, WI. Thanks.
